Mary-Anne Boutros

Education Officer: Creative & Performing Arts

Mary-Anne is a Visual Artist who holds Bachelor of Arts(Visual Arts) Bachelor Teaching  and a Masters in Education(Visual Arts)

She is a passionate, experienced Visual Arts and Photo media teacher whose experience has spanned 24 years in state, independent, Catholic and overseas schools. Mary-Anne has taught HSC Visual Arts for the last 20 years, with many students being nominated and exhibited in ArtExpress.

Mary-Anne has been involved in curriculum development and has been on the NESA HSC Exam Committee, this has been backed by her experience as HSC marker.

Mary-Anne’s passion for creative arts education has included faculty development as Head of CAPA , extra curricular activities, organisation of school performances and exhibitions,  the development of a gifted and talented program for feeder schools, mentoring beginning and existing teachers and involvement in  various musicals in set and costume design.

Mary-Anne prides herself in always keeping up to date with the latest in educational developments and has been involved in establishing STEM/collaborative learning and PBL programs.

Mary-Anne looks forward to seeing and being part of the growth of Performing Arts within the K – 12 continuum of Sydney Catholic Schools.
